1994 Hand Carved, Embossed & Painted Hopi HANO CLOWN “ Kachina Style” Plaque

I am listing a large collection of these.
This is a 1994 Hand Carved Hand Embossed & Hand Painted Hopi HANO CLOWN  Wall PlaqueBetween 10 & 12” tall, approximately 1/2” thick, each initialed and dated by the year on the back.These are not just cut outs, they are all hand embossed and painted to the specific of each kachina’s characteristic, look closely at the picture, each intricate detail has been embossed, right down to the individual beads & feathers!
There are approximately 45 different plaques in the the whole collection. This labor of love took over 4 years to complete them, between 1994 & 1998.  I also have some photos and pages from workbook she used as reference to accurately design sketch the patterns for the wood cuts. After each one was meticulously drawn out every color was listed like almost a paint by number, (you can see that in the sketches ) so she could paint each one accurately. Before the wood cuts were painted the patterns were engraved or embossed into each piece. If you look at some of the most detailed ones, you will see the cutouts are precise and even in the smallest places and internal cuts are accurately cut. I have seen other Kachina Wall Plaques listed here for well over 0 not even beginning to have the amount of detail and precision that these have. I believe they make a stunning historical reference to the kachinas that she did. It would be nice to own them all . Wouldn’t it a great educational display !
