Item Description
A neat early liquor bottle with an ornate metal overlay decorated in insects and animals.  They have glass eyes, the beetle on the cap is missing one eye.  Not sure what the material is, may be a plated silver metal, may be pewter.  I can not imagine that it is sterling as it is not marked. Not counting the cap this measures roughly 4-1/2 by 3 inches and about 1-1/4 inches thick.  Does have some wear and patina, there is damage on the bottom that has been repaired with thin copper wire.  engraved Old Rye on one side and initials that look like A.R. on the other.  Bottle looks to hold about 8 ounces, sold as-is.
