    Item: Very unusual Late 19th c Plains / Sioux Doll with Hand-carved Wooden Face and Arms , Native tanned hide, decorated with early glass trade beads

    Very good, hair may need restoration  if desired. Hair appears to have been attached originally with what may possibly be pine pitch, Wooden arms have holes to attach with leather thongs but currently are held in place with paper we placed in arms to stay in place for display. The legs, body and head appear to be carved from one continuous piece of wood.
