    Description

Offered is a handmade cloth Indian Doll. Her tag says Indian Market of The Covelo Indian Community Golden Gate International Exposition. She is a Creek doll made by Bearhead of the Creek Tribe in Oklahoma.
She was bought at the San Francisco World Fair on Treasure Island in 1939 for .00. She came from the estate of the person that had purchased her. She was a member of the UFDC, she said she won many ribbons. The doll is 13" tall, she has stitched brows, eyes nose, & mouth with yarn hair pulled back into a braided bun. She is wearing a red print cotton top & skirt with full cotton under garment, swede moccasins with bead accents. She has beads around her neck and metal cuffs on her wrists. She is clean smelling. A lovely Creek Doll to add to your collection!
