Hopi Kachina Doll - Tawa, the Sun Kachina by Jacob Cook - Wonderful!

It is a delight to present this beautiful small Kachina doll, depicting Tawa, the Sun Kachina. He stands a diminutive 5 and a half inches tall, and is carved by the young and talented Jacob Cook, an artist i have had the pleasure of working with for several years. By special arrangement, he has carved a new series of small , intricately carved dolls for me. These tiny masterpieces have always been popular, and in this new series he has captured a dignity and serenity out of all proportion to their tiny size, all the more amazing because this is a one-piece carving. Jacob carves traditionally, by hand, and never uses motorized tools (he carves with an Imperial pocket knife, made in Ireland).
