    Description

Proudly presented today is this beautiful Hopi Kachina doll, depicting the Corn Maiden Kachina.
She is shown here characteristically bearing a basket full of sweetcorn to be distributed at a ceremonial dance.
This magnificent example, standing 7 inches tall is carved by the young and very talented Emery Kyasyousie, gifted carver who, although carving since 1990 and enjoying a solid reputation as an artist, has appeared in shows no farther than Flagstaff, at the Museum of Northern Arizona’s Hopi Show. Despite his desire to stay out of the spotlight, his work has become wildly popular and galleries have sought it out (affecting the price greatly). As can be seen from the photos, the carving is skilled and intricate, and the colors subtle and subdued. Every detail, no matter how minute is faithfully rendered, down to the lovely base. Buy with complete confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, I will immediately return the full purchase price, including return shipping. This doll is a flat-out masterpiece that would look great in any collection on earth. Shouldn’t it be in yours? Many Thanks for your kind consideration, and as always, Best Regards, Rich
