    Description

    This is a very commanding kachina/katsina by well known & admired Hopi master artist Wilfred Kaye. His carving depicts 3 Snow Maidens which the artist has titled “Snow Maiden - 3rd Generation”. Each image bears all the usual symbolic markings & the two taller (older) figures hold feathers & one also holds a pouch. This is a beautifully carved piece that shows off the amazing talent of the artist. Wilfred Kaye’s works are highly sought after. The work is signed & titled on the base by the artist.
    This piece was acquired at a fund raising sale for the Cantor Art Center at Stanford over 15 years ago.
    This kachina is 16 3/4” tall. The diameter of the base is 4 1/2”
