Description: Black and white striped Koshare Clown; sitting with watermelon. Note that William Lucio heritage is both Zuni and Hopi. Koshare/Hano Gluttons clowns are used to show anti-social behavior that the community is trying to prevent by example. The clowns are foolish, wasteful and are punished by the guard and warrior kachinas as an example to the young people in the pueblo not to act like a clown.
