    Bernie carved for a Native American souvenir store located in Scottsdale Arizona in the 1970s.
    Bernie used Cottonwood Root, the traditional
    Kachina
    wood of the Hopi and Zuni tribes
    .
    This Warrior is dressed with a leather harness and wrist cuff adorned with the tiniest natural shells.
    He has colorful sequ
    ins
    on his garment.
    He carrys his sticks in one hand and some other object in his other hand, on his head thee appears to be a painted face with beak and a body of feathers resembling a pheasant.
    This beautiful
    kachina was aquired
    in
    a large group of
    28
    kachinas from the estate of one of his Ardent supporters.
    The money being used to help stray dogs.
