This very unique, collectible, silver coin entitled "The American Prospector" has a gold-panning prospector on the front and an American eagle on the back. The prospector's gold pan contains 3 genuine gold nuggets from the rivers of the Yukon Territory in Canada. I use one photo for this item so the mint date and the gold nuggets in the photo will not be exactly the same on the coin you receive (although the nuggets are all from the same batch of nuggets and all are approximately the same size). "The American Prospector" was minted by "Engelhard" for only 6 years from 1982 to 1987. The coin you receive will be dated either 1984 or 1985. This Engelhard coin is One Troy Ounce of .999 pure silver. It is in brilliant, non-circulated, (BU) condition. It is a great coin to carry around and makes a wonderful conversation piece. Also makes a great investment, as many believe that silver prices are going to explode upwards in the near future. The American Prospector coin is no longer minted, which makes this a valuable collectible coin as well, made even more unique with gold nuggets in the pan. Overall size is 1.5" round.
