Vintage 1950's Astatic T-3 crystal microphone old w F-11 adapter Prop Display

You are looking at an older Astatic model T-3 crystal microphone from the 1950's that comes with the original F-11 adapter / cable shown. This T-3 model had a high impedance setting and was ideal with HAM radios, general broadcasting and use as a harp mic. It has a classic "bullet" style. Smaller and lite weight with a polished chrome finish.
Pic # 2 is from an old advertisement showing the mics basic specs. This particular model had the riveted aluminum Astatic label so it's a pre 1960's model.   The post 1960's model had the resin applied style Astatic badges.
This T-3 is 100% original but it should be noted that the mic has been tested and is non-working. The crystal element is dead and should be replaced. This mic should currently be used only for display, prop or repair purposes.
This T-3 was manufactured by Astatic in Conneaut, Ohio and was to be used as a public address mic and it has a non-directional pattern. It was a very popular design for this company and they continued to make the T-3 for a few decades retaining the same overall style before being discontinued.
The polished chrome body has very lite wear and the nicer examples I have personally seen. The chrome is free of corrosion. Just lite scratches. The front grill looks great with zero dents or tarnish. The black cloth inner screen is excellent. I would rate the cosmetic condition a very conservative 8 on a scale of 1 - 10.
The F-11 adapter looks just as nice and has a perfect but shorter 4 foot cable with a larger vintage male 1/4 inch end connector. Cable is soft, pliable and free of any damage. The chrome lower F-11 adapter will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have.
