Precedence / Compressor Control
The MPC-1 is a compact unit which may be used as an accessory with a variety of Bogen P.A. amplifiers. The MPC-1 may be used as either a signal compressor or as a precedence control in conjunction with a (customer supplied) switch. It may be used in only one application or the other, but not both simultaneously.
The MPC-1 can be used as a compressor to maintain a consistant output level in a system where several people are making paging announcements, or in a system with a tuner, phono player, or tape deck.
The MPC-1 may also be used in systems where it is desired to provide precedence of one microphone over another.
Installation Instructions for both applications are included on data sheet dated 12 / 1963.
