    Vintage handmade Inuit doll from Greenland, circa 1960, leather, fabric, fur and beads
    This vintage doll was purchased by relatives who visited Greenland in about 1960.
    In those days, flights to Europe would stop in Greenland for re-fueling, and this doll was purchased as a souvenir during one of those stops.
    The doll has been in our family ever since then and has been handed down through the generations.
    It has a leather face with hand painted features and yarn hair.
    The doll’s hands are made from felt.
    The upper leggings are made of real fur and the lower leggings are painted leather.
    The doll is adorned with a colorful beaded necklace.
    The doll measures 6.5”
    tall and weighs 3.5 ounces.
