    Vintage Hopi Kachina Handmade ? Duane Tawahongva ? Signed.
    This wood figurine is hand carved and painted with great detail. Colors are bright and crisp. Estate sale find so no provenance. Probably from 1970 based on signature.
    Stands 5 inches tall. Please see photo of signature on the bottom. States "Duane Tawahongva by J.L. '70". This is somewhat of a mystery as Duane is a well-known Hopi silversmith.
    The feathers in hands have almost disappeared with age. The wooden base is split. Otherwise this piece is in good condition.
