Vintage Native American Indian Skookum Doll #1
Artes Folklorico presents a vintage in the style of Native American Skookum female doll.  The doll features braided hair, plastic or composite face and shoes, wood legs and fabric and felt clothing.  The bottom of the shoes read, “TRADEMARK REG SKOOKUM BULLYGOOD INDIAN PANTENTED USA.”  Skookums did not usually have arms but were wrapped with Indian style folded blankets so that it looked like they had folded arms.  Most of these dolls were made circa 1940-1950.  The doll is in excellent vintage condition with minimal imperfections (see photographs).  The doll measures 9-3/4 inches in height, 3-1/4 inches in width and 2-1/2 inches in depth.  A great find for anyone that collects vintage, old or antique Native American or Indian dolls or folk art.  Please take a look at the other vintage Skookum dolls and folk art we have up for auction.
