    Description

Here is an original vintage postcard....a colorful card showing the Incline Railroad in Duluth, MN.
...it first opened in 1891, a fire in 1901 forced its closure, and it was out of service until 1902.  The Incline (as it was known) climbed 509 feet in about half a mile, and with a grade ranging from 15 to 25 percent.  It was powered by a stationary steam engine at the top and a one-way trip took 16 minutes.  It was never profitable and its last day of service was Sep. 4, 1939....this card, published by the Duluth News Tribune, was posted on Apr 24, 1915 in Duluth,  note the bright red cancellation mark....
Please view the photos of both sides of the card as they represent the description and the condition.... housed in a protective plastic sleeve,  well-packaged for shipping and with a 30 day return privilege.....00 total for shipping, handling and packaging...will combine shipping on request for multiple cards...domestic shipping only - no international shipping...Thank You Very Much.
