    Description

    Here is an original vintage postcard....a colorful card showing a night time scene of a bright yellow trolley car....nicknamed as "The Great White Way" trolley, it first opened in 1906 and carried people from downtown Minneapolis to Lake Minnetonka and back.  A one-way ticket cost a quarter.  Today, visitors can cruise the lake in steam-powered boats built to replicate those old trolley cars.....this card, by the V.O. Hammon Company, was posted on Aug 17, 1908 in Minneapolis.
