Vintage RARE 1950's Turner 9D / T-55 Army Korea dynamic microphone old w cable

You are looking at a very rare mic that I have only seen two of before. This T-55 is based off the more common Turner 9D microphone sold to the civilian population. The T-55 was sold to the U.S Army and used in their Signal Corp for field operations. It's a 1950's era and could have easily been used in Korea or any other Army installation at some point during the war or after.
Pic # 2 shows this very style from an old 1950's Turner catalog. The 9D came in a few different variants during it's production cycle.
This high quality Turner dynamic 9D / T-55 has classic deco styling with a heavy all metal body and original olive drab green painted finish. The riveted Turner badge shows it's early age and it appears this mic was used gently over it's life. It still works as well with a very strong signal.
This T-55 is high impedance and makes it ideal for basic broadcasting purposes. I can honestly say that this has a great "rockabilly" sound so it can be used for recording and singing if that's the sound you are looking for?
The olive drab green paint shows typical lite wear in the form of scratches and a few small chips in the paint. It's free of any fractures or dents and has all the original hardware. The original black cloth is free on any fading, rips or holes.   The On / Off switch
works flawlessly and would make a great mic for just about any occasion where you only want the mic live when you are actually speaking. This mic will screw on to any American desk or floor stand as well with it's universal mic stand threading. Put this on your favorite stand and you have a nice Turner mic to display or actually use.
The Turner badge looks brand new making this is a really nice piece and certainly worthy of displaying in any collection.
I would give a this mic a very conservative 7 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. This T-55 takes is provided with a cable and it just 10 inches in length with the nickel plated Switchcraft male XLR end connector. Simply attach any longer XLR cable of choice for longer reach. Cable is soft and pliable. Free of any damage. It's ready to go.
Solid inside and out this mic was built to last.
