Volkswagen VW Beetle Bug OEM German Metal Oil Filter Screen Housing Cover 66

Up for your consideration is an original VW Beetle metal oil filter screen cover housing from the late 60's, I think, information welcome.  It is in good condition with minor wear, see photos.  Mostly likely from a '66 Bug.
