Working Vintage 1930’s Rex Co. Dynamic Microphone-Steam Punk-Art Deco-Antique

This unique gold finish gooseneck dynamic microphone is a working one of a kind up-cycle. The cast iron base is made by Rex Electric Manufacturing Company in Chicago in the 1930’s and was originally a depression era lamp base. The bottom of the lamp reads “Patent Number 112382 Rex Electric Mfg. Co. Chicago”. The upper part of the mic was converted from a light to a dynamic microphone which has been tested and is working well. The tone is old school with emphasis on middle and high end. The mic includes a 7 foot cable with a standard male XLR plug. The finish is in good shape, there are some dings and imperfections as seen in the photos. The gooseneck is adjustable and moves firmly but easily. The on/off switch is working fine. The mic measures about 15 inches high when the gooseneck is fully extended.
With its vintage art deco/steam punk one of a kind styling, this mic will make great display or prop even if it is not put to use.
